Can I get married at Hemingford Park?
We don't hold a marriage licence so your legal marriage must happen somewhere else. However you can have a full "blessings" ceremony with exactly the same wording as a marriage.
What do you provide?
We provide you with the venue (and the spa and cottages if your package includes them), hot and cold water, power and indoor toilet facilities. You need to engage caterers, florists etc separately and we recommend that you engage a wedding organiser.
How much does it cost?
What days are available for wedding receptions?
We have one wedding reception per week and it takes place on a Saturday. If your package includes it you will be using the facilities on Friday and Sunday as well.
Do we share the day with other weddings?
No. You have exclusive use of the facilities for your own wedding day or wedding weekend.
Are there any restrictions on selling alcohol?
Hemingford Park does not have a public alcohol licence and so selling alcohol on site is not allowed. Providing alcohol to guests without charge is perfectly fine. Your caterer will be able to advise you further.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
If you've booked a package that includes overnight stays then up to 15 guests (including you) can stay in the cottages. However please note that there are 9 bedrooms across 4 cottages and so this would mean some of your guests sharing rooms.
Can we have a firework display?
Because of the livestock close by, setting off fireworks or chinese lanterns is not allowed. However "silent" fireworks can be lit before 9pm on the Saturday.
Can we stay in the Hall itself?
The Hall itself remains a private home and so guests aren't allowed inside. However if you take one of our special weekend packages, the honeymoon couple can spend Saturday night in one of the Hall's suites.
Can we use the Spa?
If you've booked a package that includes the Spa, you can use this incredible underground facility between 10am and 4pm on the Friday. It has a capacity of 12 people. Pregnant women and those under 18 are not allowed in the Spa although they can book treatments.
